I normally hate those horrid white Apple earphones, however I tried the ones that came with my I,phone 4S (with in built mic) and they actually sounded pretty good. The Tron Legacy soundtrack sounded pretty punchy.

Also the Apple white headphones spill a lot of noise outwards - very annoying on public transport.

There's been informal calls in Melbourne for trains to have ipod-free carriages, dunno how that would get through, altho one day I had some knob playing his nu-metal straight out of the speakers sans headphones... mmm the best way to listen to nu-metal, all tinny and shite-like - made a good case for them

Last one at the cinema I think was Sherlock Holmes Game of Shadows - a good rollicking romp!

Last ones on DVD:
- Some old eps of FireFly - Joss Whedon classics
- Johnny English Reborn - has its moments
- The History Boys - like Dead Poets Society but better
- Green Lantern - shite

Looking forward to seeing The Avengers - loved the Iron Man movies, Thor was corny but ok, Captain America not bad

^ I will once the deposit is paid and the place is 100% guaranteed to be ours - still touch and go until we get the deposit for our current house from the buyer and we can pass it on to the vendor.

Man it's a stressful business... we had a buyer ready to go with an offer we were happy with pending a building inspection. Inspectors came, said to my face that everything was ok, no dramas, then the bastards told our buyer that two wobbly floorboards in the bedroom would require $8-10,000 worth of re-stumping under the house

As a result we've had to accept a lower offer, after haggling up and down by $1000 increments. This has also meant that the time period we were given to come up with deposit on our new place has elapsed and we have been relying on the goodwill of the vendor to hold out for the money - in the meantime there is nothing stopping him from putting the place back on the market and trying for another buyer in which case we could have sold our old house, lost our new house, and end up technically homeless in 60 days time.

Yaaaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhh
