How To Post MP3 and Media
25 February 2012 - 08:52 PM
Guys, im not sure if everyone is aware of this little tip, but if your not, I realize its probably not obvious.
Most of your are familiar with post tags, such as the [Media] tag. This can still be used, and works with MP3, YouTube, SoundCloud etc, but for whatever reason the good people at Invision (makers of the software) decided to remove the button from the post box.
The newer streamlined way to add media is to just actually drop the link into the post. No tags required.
So if you wanted to embed a soundcloud player in your post, just simply drop the link to your player in the post ie
or if you want to embed an MP3 player in the post, just simply put the link to the MP3 ie
Same with YouTube clips. No tags required
The new version of SoundPunk inspects your post just after your post it for a series of media matches. These include mp3 file extensions, YouTube URL's , SoundCloud URL's and more. if it matches any in your post, it will automatically wrap the link in media tags so you dont have to.
Please let me know if there's any questions

Chat Trial
12 February 2012 - 10:59 PM
So those of you with sharp eyes will of noticed the new "chat" tab in the top manu bar.
This is a trial implementation, and only allows 5 members to be chatting at once. If we decide we like it, then ill pay for the license for more users.
Have a look at it, and post back here with what you think. The license cost isn't much, so I dont mind paying for it, but if we all think its a waste of time, then I wont bother.
Only members can chat, and once your logged into soundpunk, your logged into chat aswell
When anyone is in the chat room, a little number will sit next to the chat button in the top menu, this indicates how many people are in the room currently.
Let me know what you think guys

Micro Studio
16 December 2011 - 09:02 PM
So, I’m in a situation. I’ve moved to a tiny flat on the other side of the world, my previous spacious apartment with separate studio room in Sydney is a distant memory, I now can’t even manage a computer desk in a corner with the space I’ve got.
I want to get back into my production, but its not easy. Iv no room for gear really, maybe a small keyboard. I own an iPad and a high powered Macbook Pro, I also sent over my Trigger finger. Im toying with the idea of Ableton with touchable in iPad as my interface and resorting to only soft synths. My beloved Virus TI will have to stay in her box back in Sydney.
So … Here’s my question, what are your suggestions for a Micro Studio?
Im interested in hardware, software, small tables, lap tables etc, Being musical creative in the smallest possible space. Its partly a challenge to see if I can actually make something half descent with about a 1/8th of the space.

Korn - Narcissistic Cannibal (Cheyne Wallace Edit)
05 December 2011 - 09:55 PM
My own re-edit of Korns Narcissistic Cannibal. Reworked with a heavier arrangement and more aggressive flow. Minus the boring bits. Making a fat song even fatter.
Trying to get my music juices flowing again by working on a few small scale projects, basically doing some minor remixes and edits with a few tweaks. Cutting out the junk etc.
