So - I've reached a point in my life where I wonder if it's even worth carrying on trying to produce the 'music' i've been spouting all this time.
Are these worthy? Or do I just give it all up and try my hand at gardening?
2 remixes of a Brisbane nu-disco duo - Mega Drive Cartridge.
One of them is my friend, and he said he likes it... but I don't know if he was just being polite and didn't want to hurt my feelings

HI CT
Your work is too good for you to quit.
I won't pretend to like these as much as some of other efforts of yours that I've heard (remix comps etc), but these are by no means bad. The production values are all there, I just feel that these tracks are just less engaging - boring is too strong a word. They remind me of some of the demo CDs from labels, where the tunes just lack the certain X factor to stand out from the crowd. Lacking a 'hook', I suppose is the best way to put it.
Defintely prefer the second one to the first.

cheers for the kind words Marky - I think I just had a bad day that day...
And you're sooo right - my choons lack that 'hook' that gives them that extra something
Hopefully I can remedy that one day
