Only problem with the touchscreen on the IPAD is when I use the MBP I keep running my fingers on the screen waiting for a response. What a muppet.

Had a shitty couple of weeks. My Launch PS3 develops the dreaded Yellow Light Of Death. Get it fixed only to die 3 minutes after turning on. Fix again, dies again and again.
Subwoofer dies, amplifier blows, replace and speaker unit dies. Have to replace.
Finally after all this bollocks my home cinema is up and running again, thanks to a cheap Panasonic Blu-ray Player.
Missed my Hi-Def Movies.

I was playing some seriously deep Old Skool House and my fucking sub started rattling. Looks like the coil has gone. Bollocks.

^^^ Gently press the cone inwards so the coil passes through the magnetic field.
If it feels like it's gritty as it moves in and out then, yes, the voicecoil has likely overheated, swollen, and is now physically making contact with the magnet.
If it feels totally smooth, then all's well with the voicecoil, and the rattling may be simply be a panel or a non-critcal part inside has worked loose. Something to look into, but not as catastrophic as burning out a driver.

You can get the voice coil rewound.
