So whats this all about?
Iv been yammering on for a while now about premium content, blogs , streams etc, although for the average member it didn’t mean much.
What this means, is a separation of content. Up until recently the forums have been our only medium for content, people have posted fantastic articles as threads and we have attempted to give them extended time to shine by stickying posts or keeping posts that list OTHER posts, overall it was a messy arrangement, a hassle to manage and good content often ended up being lost as its pushed back behind other threads.
What we have now is 3 levels of content , they are:
- Forum Posts
- User Blogs
- Articles
Articles
The articles section aims to give quality content the real estate it deserves. Articles will be archived and categorized to make them easier to find, just like a library.
If you have a piece of content you think should be an article you can submit it to us, and we can promote it, it will have your name attached to it just like any other forum post. We recommend you simply make your post in the forums and then give my self or one of the senior moderators a poke with the link so we can take a look.

Blogs
Blogs are the next step down in content. Blogs are completely member contributed and can be about anything you want. See the following article for more information

New Home Page
So, with these new features, we obviously want a way to see whats new in a simple way, we don’t want to have to be clicking through pages to view whats new. Hence the home page.
The the new home page is aimed purely at showing the latest activity on the site, it will list the 8 most recent posts, the 5 most recent articles and the 5 most recent blog entries.
The home page is a completely custom page, and we can modify it as we need. Its currently the first version and there will no doubt be some tweaks to it over time, and maybe some additional blocks added.
The home page can be accessed at http://soundpunk.com or by clicking the "home" button in the top navigation bar
