Id like to hear some peoples opinions on music genre and the synths that fit with that genre.

What do you consider a house synth?  deep house synth?  trance synth?

I own a virus TI , how ever the music I tend to like producing now days is probably more of the deep and funky equation,  almost always I find the Virus a little too powerful , its way too easy to turn a clean sound into something big and filthy, which sounds great, but often I find it hard to create a more mellow sound.

Granted, this is probably a side effect of my sub par subtractive synthesis skils,  although I often think certain synthesizers just have a signature sound that fits with a particular genre.

So whats your genre and what synths do you use and why ?

Some synths are very good at their certain elements though.
