Ok so im new to all this and thought it might be a good place to start as i've been using it for Uni.

I have been looking into purchasing some software to use at home to record and make my own tracks and was wondering if i could get some advise one what i should look into getting.

We have been using Logic and Pro Tools in class but don't know much about any other software.
I want to be able to use a lot of MIDI, use it easily and be able to do as much manipulation as i can to it.
Something with lots of really good virtual instruments and synths and plugins etc.
While also being able to edit Audio tracks and samples easily and accurately.
Also a program lots of people use so it can make collaboration easier.
But most of I need to be able to learn to use it relatively easily and for it to be at a relatively low cost as i'm not earning much money at the moment.

Thanx Heaps
