Just thought I'd give punks the heads up to a bit of bif over at the DUC at the moment.
It may be a bit of a yawn for some but one of the mods has created two threads (PC & MAC) inviting an 'open forum' to discuss the recent HD upgrade offer to existing PT LE users. It has turned into an angry backlash at Digi for trying to flog near 10 year old technology and still refusing to include common features like freeze & ADC in native sytems and anger at rediculously priced toolkits and absurd product structures.
I've weighed in and given them a serve myself. It is not my intention to discuss my discontent with Digi here. Often, when anyone starts criticising Digi, the fanbois jump up and say well if you don't like Pro Tools, why don't you go back to Reaper or shit like that. This time the fanbois are staying well clear of this thread.
It seems like an opportune time to let Digi know your greviences, if you have any, as the gloves are off in these threads. They're not too stupid either. Just real users, pissed off at Digi for a variety of good reasons relating to price, features and an apparant lack of innovation (in recent years). Have a look if you're interested...

Well there you go, haven't times changed (or stayed the same), though the DUC mods have really loosened up in recent years. There used to be a time when just a hint of discussion around, say, Logic, or a jibe at Digi saw deleted posts and banned members. Whereas, these days they cop it and cop it and cop it, on their own turf, and they rarely defend it.
It's been stated before somewhere on there by one of their own people that ADC is coming for LE, just a matter of when.
Personally, I'm loving what they've done with PT8LE.
I mean, it's like having a real DAW now, just like what the other bazillion DAWs have offered for years.
