Hi,
I'm new to this forum and I need some help in replacing the display of the Roland MC-505.
I don't want to buy one from Roland or from rightkeysrepair.
Has anyone an idea what kind of display i can use and how the connections are on the pcb of the MC-505?
I read alot the last days and have foundout that it has to be a standard lcd with a HD44780 controller.
But newer lcd-displays have some different controllers to their modules, so does anyone maybe know what
the equivalents to the HD44780's are?
Or has anyone soldered one and can give me some tipps to this project or better, has somebody the service-notes for that machine?
Thank you and a good night

No idea on equivalent part numbers, I've only used Roland's LCDs, but hope this tutorial helps with the process.

Thankx Spectrum!
I already read that tutorial.
When I've finished my experiments (destroyed my lcd last night :bang:) and when it works, I'm going
to tell in this forum.
Have a nice day
