Mixer Scribble Strip Template (to suit Mackie VLZ1604PRO)

8 posts in this topic

Thought someone might appreciate this...

After years of scribbling permanent marker on lengths of electrical and masking tape, I thought I'd whip up something a little neater/more permanent.

Here's a Excel-formatted 'scribble strip' template for use with Mackie's VLZ-1604PRO mixers. N.B. You'll need to be logged-in to view/download the forum attachments.

Of course, it's set up for my studio, but there's nothing stopping anyone from editing it to suit their own rig. Tweak the number of channels, the subgroups, the descriptions to taste. Helps if you know the 'merge and centre' button in Excel and how to adjust the column widths to suit.

If anyone modifies it to suit their particular mixer model, please share it here for others. ;)

Ah cool. Let me know how it lines up then. Must be pretty close given the mixer widths are the same.

Hi all, as per a member request, just re-uploaded this as it'd been lost in the changeover to our new forum. Please let me know if you're still having any issues, questions, suggestions. Cheers.
