quick one for the elektronheads...
My machinedrum just shit itself and when i rebooted it all of my kits and patterns are gone
Is this something i can expect from time to time on these units or is this indicative of a further problem i should get checked out?
On the plus side i finally got off my ass and learnt how to do paramter locks and a few other bits and pieces last night :cans:

I've never had anything but rock solid reliability from mine. Sucks when that stuff happens. Just look at it as an excuse to get creative
Also as a lesson to back up everything! In to the elektron site right now and download C6 which is their sysex tool and will let you easily back up all your kits.
I rediscovered parameter locks by accident recently after forgetting to use them. Adjusting parameters while live recording and, oops! That pattern just came to life! Win.

No worries
C6 is great for backup/storage for any synth that does patch dumps via SysEx
