quick one for the elektronheads...

My machinedrum just shit itself and when i rebooted it all of my kits and patterns are gone

Is this something i can expect from time to time on these units or is this indicative of a further problem i should get checked out?

On the plus side i finally got off my ass and learnt how to do paramter locks and a few other bits and pieces last night  :cans:

I've never had anything but rock solid reliability from mine. Sucks when that stuff happens. Just look at it as an excuse to get creative :D

Also as a lesson to back up everything! In to the elektron site right now and download C6 which is their sysex tool and will let you easily back up all your kits.

I rediscovered parameter locks by accident recently after forgetting to use them. Adjusting parameters while live recording and, oops! That pattern just came to life! Win.

No worries :D C6 is great for backup/storage for any synth that does patch dumps via SysEx
