comes with a software editor though, every new synth should have one.

i'm loving the idea of it for live use.. in fact i'm getting one...  it will match my KRK's nicely  ;)

if only the aussie dollar was as strong as it was a few months ago!

Just realised i spelt it wrong.. should be 'mopho' (which makes it even cooler) - mods can you help with the subject change?

It also has an audio input that lets you process external audio and mix Mopho's own audio output back in pre-filter for feedback effects that can range from subtle distortion to extreme skronk.

is Skronk like Fwonk

$399 USD tis  good price might pick one up while i'm in the states

Yeah, I'm rating it. Under $400 too. Nice.

Must rattle some windows with dual oscillator + dual sub-harmonic oscillators.

Who cares if it's only monophonic, eh?

got mine yesterday..  :-*  such a cool little box, was playing with it for hours.

first impressions:

its so small! about the size of two DVDs on top of each other and it weighs nothing. love the power supply as well, different plugs for all around the world, perfect for travelling, everything should have this.

awesome rich sound, but like i said before its my first real analogue synth so not much to compare to other than my VA's (micron/radias).

the four assignable knobs are so quick and easy to reassign - its still not great for programming from scratch (i'll be grabbing the software editor), but you can very quickly boost a suboscillator, hit the assign button, flick it over to an LFO, boost that, then flick to something else... much easier to tweak multiple parametres live than my micron.

the push me button - i initally couldn't be bothered hooking it up via midi so i was just playing with the presets via the push me button and turning the pitch knob to get some crazy up-and-down-the-scale wackiness!

i love the suboscillators, you can basically take any patch and add rummble. top that with my favourite ohmicide patch for RUMMMMMBLLEEEE  ;)

some of the presets are a bit same/same, but they're mostly classic synth patchs so can't complain there.

wish it had:
battery operation!
USB
an on/off switch! hate having to pull out the power supply to turn it off.

i could come up with more, but for the price, who can be that fussy??

^^ Thanks! I was gonna ask for a review.

Where did you order it from and how much?
Also, is it possible to program from scratch, just a bit of a pain?

i read somewhere (possibly mango) that's its ok to leave analogue gear on. The circuitry connections will expand and contract as it warms and cools when you turn on and off, which can cause it to break. Leaving it on minimizes this. I have a frostwave resonator that i turn off probably once a year and it's still good.

ill probably go home now and it'll be broken  ;D

Totes endorse the leaving on of analogue gear - I run all my stuff 24/7.

analogue haven - paid $439 US including shipping.

yeah it is possible, although i've only been tweaking presets so far. i can't imagine it would be anymore difficult than my micron. of course programming the step sequencer would be a massive pain in the butt.

i can't wait to hook it up to my old electribe and program some crazy sequences for it.
