This is another work-flow inspired tip. Im sure those seasoned ProTools users will be familiar with the I/O window and using it to rename busses. It is a convoluted process that can be confusing to learn. There is now a new method you can use which is much more intuitive.
1. Setup the routing you need (in this case im sending the three drum tracks to an aux track using bus 21-22)

2. Right-Click (or control + click on a 1 button mac) on any of the path selectors that are pointing to the bus you want to rename and click "rename"

3. Enter the name for the bus and hit OK.

4. The bus' is renamed!

BAM! That's brilliant! And you're right, the IO Window has been my friend up until now.
I'm sure there's plenty more right-click stuff I've overlooked too (coming from my Apple puck heritage)

Will update the index now...

Hi Anders,
I'm looking at promoting the Tips & Tricks to, er, Tips & Tricks in the new Articles section.
http://www.soundpunk...e/articles.html
Those links in your 'renaming busses' post top of this thread, did they lead to screen shots of some sort?
Any way they could be relinked or recreated?

Yeah they were screenshots... Not sure what happened to the links. The shots are on a harddrive at home (12000kms away). Maybe next year

Yea, unfortunately the new system didn't bring across a lot of the downloads.. Although the images would be sitting on the server somewhere, I can take a look for them if I knew what I was looking for ?
