I am a Logic v7 user.
I have heard a lot of good things about Logic v8's interface user friendliness but does it hold any other advantages over Logic v7 or should i keep the $500 odd dollars in my pocket.

having said that - keep 7 installed at first - some Space Designer impulses will no doubt go walkabout. grrr!
the main reason i'd suggest it is the faster workflow this new interface provides - particularly the two channels that sit on the right hand side - one for selected channel and one for the selected output or bus of that channel.
there aren't a whole lot of added sonic improvements - i guess Delay Designer is the obvious one.... unless you count the Jam Packs etc but i'd still recommend it over 7 any day of the week.

oh right. i paid Academic and they shipped full version. upgrade was no problems. so i take it your version makes it pretty clear that it's not the full kahuna?

8 is more user firnedley in my opinion especaly for those who do not have luxury of duel screens haveing every thing marked with tabs is great and the media browser is pretty handy love every thing about 8 it may not have the charm like the older versions of logic did but it is a step forward love myne to bits

Finally bit the bullet and upgraded (I spent nearly two weeks with it sitting on the shelf, scared it would fuck up my existing song files), and fark... this is an incredible update! Everything I loved is still there and accessible, and so much more to play with - Delay Designer alone is worth the upgrade price!
I'm off to play...
