easy now.

just thinking of buying a couple more ortofon thingys for the ol' 1200s.

as with everything i don't get a chance to play with anything before i buy, so i was just wondering if you guys that spin could possibly make some recommendations.

currently i'm using the q-bert ortofon thingys however one of my FUCKWIT mates broke one of the stylii so now i'm down to my last spare which is just a pro-s stylii. guess it was my fault for leaving him alone thinking he knew what he was doing. r0ar

i like giving the records a workout when spinning and very much enjoy fuckin' around scratching, but i would also love as much audio quality as possible because finally i have no weak links in my setup (woooooooo WOOOOOOOOOO wooooooOOOooOO)

----

OPTION 1: at the moment i reckon i'll grab some of those ortofon night club e MKII's or whatever they are (these ones) for about $370. these are two carts and two stylii

is this a wise decision?

OPTION 2: or should i spend $450 and get two of these? these are the same setup as OPTION 1 except instead of just getting one concorde nightclub MKII cartridge with stylus it also comes with a spare, so effectively it is $450 for 4 stylii and 2 carts...

OPTION 3: this is the bit where you chose my own adventure

---

thank you very much for any input and advice and if you have some advice and don't post you're dead to me.

also soundpunk is one of the only websites not blocked at my new work (logistics company) so power to the punxXx

cheers guys and enjoy the fuck out of thursday  8)

oh yeah oops if anyone knows anywhere cheap to get this stuff from please let me know! i have no idea about any international sites that sell this stuff as my beloved novamusik doesn't. i think the best price i can find in aus is from storedj.com.au, but again i'm not sure as i can't look at many sites hehehe

nearly bought 4 shure mics though instead ahaha

cheers!! x xx

Shure m44g's

Dont get the nightclub E. More hassle than they are worth. Elliptical Stylus, great to just listen to tunes with but for DJ'ing far more problematic IMO. Especially if you like to scratch a lil.

I have the electro concorde's and have found them to be great.

Just picked up a couple Shure M-447's and I am pretty happy with sound.
