Ok so i finally got my external hard-drive.

I want to install Session Drums and EIC2 on it as my macbook only has a 80Gig hard-drive.

How do i go about doing this? I want Live to be able to access it etc.

What about transferring my whole library to my external hard-drive? Bad idea?

without having used the software I cant say for sure , but im guesing during the installation there should be an option to install the library to a different source..    either that or you may be able to tinker with the file system paths in the configuration files in its install directory.

An external hard disk should be fine , but if possible , it would be much better to use the local drive.    a lot of my libraries are hosted on a network drive , so im limited to the 100Mbps link ..

i access alot of samples from an external hdd and it doesnt seem to mind the load at all... Im pretty sure you wont notice much different between local and external hdd.
