Logic is doing my head in. I used to use 5.5.1 on PC just with soft-synths and that was fine. Trying now to get it to work with external hardware (Machinedrum) is just not happening for me! The manual is extremely arcane and unhelpful. I wondering if there is a Logic guru in Melbourne who would like to come over for an afternoon and help me figure out a few things and be rewarded with extreme gratitude and many beers..?

Otherwise if someone can recommend me a cheap or HECS course.

I know a couple of the guys at A-wave in Hawthorn are Logic gurus, you could ask for after-hours tuition there but you'd most likely need $$ ready. It'd be a private deal with a staffer rather than thru the shop I suspect. They might also poo-poo the PC factor - serious mac fanbois 

What suburb you in? Is it just patching in the external gear & environment setup? I could spare a short session if you're in the north. I'm on hols at the mo so if you can do weekdays I might be able to help.

I'm a serious mac fanboi myself, these days! The PC is relegated to web surfing and playing games these days. Hehe, I'm off the beefs these days. I'm not in the north, in the (inner) west. Yarraville!

The gear is hooked up, I just don't really know what to do in the environment to get it talking with Logic.

And weekdays is perfect, I work evening shifts starting around 4PM so am free during the days.
