Hey guys!
I have recently bought an "ESI - 25 key control" midi keyboard and i am currently using Cubase SL3 and am having a bit of trouble trying to figure out how i can assign a particular slider/knob on the midi controller to a particular slider/knob on my vst programs. If anyone could please lend a hand it would be very much appreciated!
And a happy 2008 to all sound-punkers !!!

Depending on the VST/VSTi it may have "Midi Learn" which you can just activate for any parameter and then twist the knob on the controller you want it to be controlled by and hey presto.
Otherwise you EITHER need to find out the MIDI CC number for the parameter and then assign that number to the knob OR vice versa, and this way is better - figure out which CC the knob is sending and then change the parameter to respond to that CC. It's better because that way you can have the same knob control the same parameter in different VSTi's without changing the configuration on the keyboard - plus those apps that do have MIDI Learn will continue to respond to the same knobs.
The manual of the keyboard should provide help on assigning MIDI CC
