This is the coolest thing i've ever seen/heard/eaten.

How much did this end up costing you in oz dollars archie?  I think i owe myself a xmas present.  I just landed 2 jobs today, so I've got to spend all my new money on something.

wow that's awesome news mate! good work indeed! you easily owe yourself a present.

have a look at www.bleeplabs.com for the stuff they have - my robot ghost was a halloween thing and i'm not sure if you can get the same ones (as in look, not insides) anymore although i'm sure if you asked specifically you could. they come in a range of guises!

i'm not entirely sure how many aus dollars i paid, but the thing i have (thingamagoop i think) is US$100 plus US$30 shipping. at this exact moment in time that would cost me $149.37 of today's money :P

I aim to please. :P

Hey Archie, listening to the clip again, is that thing sync'ed to to beat? From what I read, I thought it only spat out noise. Or did ya get your edit and timestretch on to make it fit the groove?

Yeah, pretty funky l'il dude. Love the video on the site when there's about 10 lined up in a row and someone's hittin' the room's overhead light.

• Analog VCO controlled by analog or digital signal from Arduino. (A separate Arduino board is not required)
• Sample and hold, Arpeggios, noise, and bit crush effects with open source code so you can program your own sounds!
• All the analog sounds of the original Thingamagoop.
• Controllable LEDacle – Ramp and random waveforms with rate control.
• New modulators – Square wave amplitude modulator and triangle wave pulse width modulator.
• Tough, stomp box type body with silk screened graphics in 3 different styles.
• Easy to access battery – No more screws!
• Much fuller and louder speaker.
• CV in and out.
• Arduino Programmer jack. Easily hook an Ardunio board up to the Thingamagoop 2.
• Kit now comes with a pre-drilled enclosure.
• Still assembled in Austin, Texas by Dr. Bleep and friends.

Blue looks cute
