Hi all,
I'd like to draw your attention to some excellent DAW/Plug-In specific tutorials that have been created by SoundPunk members around the site:

As I'm sure you will appreciate, they're perfect for someone who may be just starting out, and as RB and I have discovered, there's still plenty of tricks we've been able to teach us old dogs too! It's easy to underestimate just how differently two people aproach the same piece of software, with one person discovering their own way to accomplish a particular process that the other may have completely overlooked. Perhaps it's not surprising after all given just how complex many of these applications have grown to become.
So, if you have a particular technique, tip or trick that you think people should know about, we'd love to read/see/hear about it!
And if you need assistance with screenshots and audio clips, let myself or Rhythmboy know and we can assist you in putting your article together using the SoundPunk servers to host your files.
Or if you have an idea, or even just a "How do I...?" that you think would benefit by being in an article format, but don't feel you're up to the task of compiling it, we want to hear about it too! You may just inspire someone else to put your ideas into motion.
Cheers all, and have a great week(end). 8)

Here's some tips by Rhythmboy for speedy and efficient tute making.
For example, this:

looks fancy but only took about two hours to make in total. Planning ahead is the key. I suggest:
- map out the idea generally in bullet points on paper, running the sequence of tasks step by step
- write the text offline in a word processor. Insert extra lines or little notes where the pics and mp3's will go.
- Capture all screenshots and make the pics in one go. Make them in sequence, referring back to the text regularly so you don't miss a step. Be diligent with naming the pics so you can easily find them later. Save them as standard jpeg or gif.
- Note in my example post I have numbered my steps and linked them to numbers on the pic. This saves you writing a lot of words, and makes the steps easy to follow. People respond to pictures more effectively than words, so use them.
- Make all your audio snippets in one go and format all to 128kbps mp3
- Save all text, pics and audio to a common folder
- Log in to the Sound Punk File Manager and upload your media to a public folder:

user - punk
pass - punk
- put pics in the 'images' folder and mp3's in the 'samples and sounds' folder.
- Start a new post and copy all your text into it. Format the text with the standard editing tools in your reply page.
- Create links for your pics and mp3's. The paths will be:
http://www.soundpunk...wnloads/images/*yourpichere.jpg*
http://www.soundpunk...les_and_sounds/*yourmp3here.mp3*
- preview the post regularly, even each time you create a new link, and test the link works. I find it easier to keep track of errors if I fix them one at a time.
- Once it looks good save it and post!
