Ok this is sending me mad as i've spent ages scouring forums and rtfm'ing and going through all the settings over and over again and i just cannot get this to work. All I wanna do is use all my sliders on the cubase audio mixer when mastering and use the dial for pans and the rest for transport control. I've checked the midi filters I'used the memory sets, I've tried doing the 'learn thing individual, omni is off on the controller etc....... :bang: F**K!!! :bang:
Yes cubase gets a midi message as you can see it in the tpt 'in' section.
this is my last port of call before I throw cubase and this controller in the f'ing bin.

Is that the PCR-M50?
Have you loaded the 'cubase' template on the controller?
If I remember correctly (from my PCR-30 days), the controller is designed in such a way that it's effectively two controllers in one, and outputs each on their own virtual MIDI outputs (eg. MIDI Out A and MIDI Out
. The purpose for this is to allow keys/knobs to control a soft-synth *and* the sliders/transport control the soft-mixer/sequencer *at the same time*.
I've little idea of Cubase set-up, but I'm thinking it may not set-up to be looking at the MIDI port (A or B, if that's how they're represented) in the controller.
Hope that helps, mate.

Its a PCR-50 the old one. and yes Ive specified on both cubase and controller to send cc's on pcr1 and pcr2 and both at the same time...............maybe its just broken........maybe its just never going to work
No I havnt loaded the cubase sets as it says they're pre-installed, but anyways the 'learn function in cb should still be working. maybe I try manually loading the 4 cb sets.
Damn makes me remember how easy it was with reason. r/click on dial, learn = done.....no problems.

yeah setting up controllers in cubase can be a pain .. have you used the generic controller setup? it is a pain but once it's done it's recallable as a preset .....
basically you have to set up what you want to control in the top pane of the generic controller dialog then tell it how to control it in the bottom pane then save it .. and the learn function doesn't work real well .. i'll do a screen grab tutorial when i go upstairs i don't have cubase on my net computer
