I'm sick of being held hostage by eBay and only having that small selection to browse at any given time. Musos Swop Shop never update their website.
Where else is good on the net to buy stuff locally?

Hmm ebays just about it atm... unless you know someone of coarse.
spose its sites like these with like minded ppl that you can sometimes benefit from buy/sell areas. I know what its like man, with trying to find hard bits of kit. And then you have to battle with the other guys who want the same thing.........
maybe we could have a 'Lookin for' sticky in the buy/sell section???

for online stuff, do an advanced google search and specify the results to show posts from the last week for example. make sure you use the proper keywords and variants. eg. "tb-303" and "tb303"
also post wanted topics on as many forums as possible. i scored a cheap 303 from posting on vintagesynth.org, a guy in sydney read it and knew of a 303 for sale.
tell all your friends or people in the music biz what you are looking for (people like us in this forum)
what exactly are you after? I'll keep an eye open for ya.
ebay is the last resort IMO, but if you patient you can still get a good deal.

I'm actually pretty sorted atm for synths. eBay America is a gold mine right now, with the exchange rate the way it is. You can often buy new synths cheaper than local secondhand stuff.
