ok, so a while ago i posted a video of ricci rucker using the ridiculously priced controller 1.  Here's unkut doing an infinitely better job with the new vestax 3000.

The deal is that the midi keyboard controls the pitch of the turntable on his left, and he's got a tone record on there.  It's pretty cool, he's playing the keyboard, but also not.  check it out.

that's pretty cool. i always like the way you post clips too :P

i'd like to have a crank on that setup. i seem to spend quite a while fucking around scratching with tone records / samples and sometimes you can get some pretty nuts things going, especially with an effect or to. i think i'd get mine hooked up to a smaller controller though, all that precious space taken! in other news i like that little stand for the controller :P

looks like one of those things that you could lose quite a number of hours over before you knew it.

defintely good on vestax for pushing this kind of thing. seems to have taken a while coming. i wonder if the purist gimps will now classify the turntable as an instrument?

i reckon they'll be a few people that will totally amaze me after they get used to this setup. and i sure can't wait for that day!

it'd kill kid koala's act though haha. could do it all with one finger :P
