Hey guys,

Another thing that makes SP so spesh  :-*

If you want to showcase your tunes on the new SP myspace page we're happy to oblige. I'm thinking we trial a month's rotation at a time? What do people think? If we get a lot of requests maybe more like each fortnight...

post here or pm me/Spectrum with a link to the mp3 and the required track details and when we have time we'll upload him for you. Mods we most likely get you to DIY if you want ;)

I'd suggest showing off finished tracks rather than use as a feedback drop-box for works in progress ey?

Basic mastering tips:
- loud but clean and free of distortion please
- clean instant start and end please
- 128kbps mp3 only please

And go add it as a friend to yours while yr at it  ;)

http://www.myspace.com/soundpunkcom

ps the beef chief mix up there now is just filler - 4 new tunes would be great  ;)

Great idea. It's def. not the place to put work in progress for opinions. I'd suggest we keep a spot for each 'genre'/style. Like, right now, i'd suggest Ehsan, Woot, Gammachild, CT, Cheyne and Ajay all have one of their tracks featured. They're all from different music styles and show case the variation of users here. It'd be good to keep it at one, 2 at the most, tracks from each genre to keep the variety alive.

Yep good thinking. There's 4 slots so maybe something like:
slot 1 - techno, trance & acid
slot 2 - downtempo, ambient & dub
slot 3 - breaks, electro & dnb
slot 4 - house, hip hop & urban

open to suggestions, bear in mind I'm trying to allocate the entirety of electronic music to four categories so I can't be too specific or exclusive.

Happy to upload anything from the boyz you suggested, I'll take first in first served with variety as a priority.

bump

For all the love I GOT NO TUNES!!

Come on boyz and girlz, send me a link so I can change the tune (or at least have more than one for a start).

If I don't get any volunteers in the next week I'm putting up four tracks of djembe solo

(believe me, I've got them ready to go)

Cheers! - 'twas actually the first song under the pen of CT

if anyone was interested, I think its the cowbell triggering the (sidekick) keyed sidechain, as apposed to the normal 'ducking' mode its normally used for
