Melbourne/Vic tuition contact thread

7 posts in this topic

If you want private one-on-one tuition or info on schools and classes in the Melbourne and Victoria areas, leave a message here with the program/techniques you want help with, and whether it's noob, intermediate or advanced.

Likewise anyone willing to teach, offer tips or otherwise hook up leave your interest here with an invite to PM.

I'd suggest not leaving phone numbers in a public post hey?  :P

For a short course in piano and theory, there's the new Aust Keyboard Academy, run by Lorenzo Capitanio:

http://www.auskeyboardacademy.com.au/

He teaches theory at school, really good teacher, and up with/open to modern music.

For private lessons there's a guy called Peter Jones, excellent teacher and for his age well up with modern music, but he may only take intermediate/advanced. I can get basic details later this week for you.

Do you want electronic production or classic engineering and PA?

For short courses less than a year it's gonna be cash up front and private mostly.

SAE http://www.saemelbourne.com/

JMC Academy http://www.jmc.edu.au/courses.cfm?id=1

Box Hill TAFE http://www.bhtafe.edu.au/ShortCourses/index.htm

For certificates over a year or more then TAFE is the way to go. As well as Box Hill, try:

Northern Metro TAFE (NMIT) http://www.nmit.vic.edu.au/courses/performingarts/sound.html

Victoria Uni http://creativeindustries.vu.edu.au/music/index.html

ehsan round here teaches at SAE and I'm at Vic uni if you want questions answered :)
