so i think i should be able to set up my motu traveller within soundforge to record any sound my pc makes

reason being i wanna record the putput of this little freeware app that runs on its own outside  the DAW, that creates werid voices and stuff like that, also for playing parts of videos and stuff and recording the output into soundforge

so:

now in soundforge I choose new record

then am selecting Motu ANALOG mix 1  / Motu Mix 1

I am trying all of the choices at my disposal but am getting nothing in thru soundforge this way

what should i be doing here? when using my laptop i would switch back to the onbaodr soundcard and re-open soundforge , and it would recognise its own audio and i would be able to record thru soundforge

so this in my mind should be doable but with the motu on my desktop, personnally i woulda thought mix 1 as the "source in", but yeah not working at the mo'

;D I didn't realise you already had a thread here! Which city are you in, Luko? It might be time for someone to catch up over a beer and show you how to do it... you can do this entirely within the Motu - no need for cables. Sounds like you're just not sure how to make the most of the bus system and the DSP mixer.

Hmmm... Ehsan - how about we write a tutorial on this? I'll try throwing some rough idea's on how i use the Motu from within Cubase and using the CueMix console... and you can add to it + correct anything you see as wrong for the Motu?

yep a tutorial from mr.motu and yourself would be pretty handy - if i can make better use of my gear i am all for it!!

i think it all got drunk at the retreat last night,  with help from cuzn matt......ouch
