Some of the tunes on hi rotation in the MP3 player currently;

1. Argie Bargie, Graham & Blades

2. Acrobatic - Dousk

3. Monkeybreak - Nils Noa (Inkfish rmx)

4. Five Five Zero - Oliver Moldan & Jerome Isma'ae

5. Moody - Island 9 (Chris Micali Dub)

6. More Grey Than Blue - Fine Taste

7. Eyes - Nursery of Naughtiness

8. Nuone - General MIDI

9. Broken - Lustral (Dousk Rmx)

10. Fly Baby - Audiomontage (Tom Middletons Cosmos Mix)

OK the last one is as old as the hills but I have lusted after this tune since I first heard it on Sander K Nu Breed CD and came across it on Beatport last week, so simple yet so infectious, house at it's finest.

As for an all-time top 10 that is way too hard, too many songs that could make the grade! Like so many others on this thread I will have to have a good long think about it...

Thats the point of the thread though. Your top ten doesn't have to be the latest and greatest tunes, just what you dig. ;)

I am liking that list of yours, right up my alley. :cans:

Glad you like the list, though given your Autumn sampler has not yet left the CD player in our car since Spectrum gave it to me in April I am not suprised - that was an awesome mix you put together JP, great track selection and built things up really nicely. Kudos to you!  :cans:

At the risk of asking a magician to give away his secrets would you consider posting a tracklisting for it somewhere? I know and have one or two of the tunes you use but there is some stuff thru the middle that really floats my boat, would love to know who the producers were.

More to the point - when is the next mix going to be ready for downoad?  ;)

And how are you my good sir! :P

Rest assured that there is another mix in the works, its actually a promo for a party i play at up here so it may not be to everyones taste as the request was for a progressive/ Psy type sound. I will put my twist on it though so hopefully it all turns out ok... :cans:

Actually, i will be needing to work on another summer promo mix over the next month or so. I have been keeping my head in the sand trying to complete a management course. My brain is nearly fried.

I will post a tracklist in the thread for you. :)

As a pop music fan, (and un- ashamed) I have a list :-)

Some will stay on the list forever... but others I am sure will leave the list in time!

A Touch Of Paradise - John Farnham

Walk Away - Christina Aguilera

Someone To Call My Lover - Janet Jackson

Wifey - Next

Im Kissing You - Des'ree

Songbird - Eva Cassidy

Sexual Healing - Marvin Gaye

Without You - Mariah Carey

Earth Song - Michael Jackson

was very hard to do (maybe doing one for each music genre may be easier!)

That is hard... my top ten is constantly changing. I try it anyway!

1. System of a Down - Chop Suey

2. Chevelle - Comfortable Liar

3. Green Day - Time of your Life

4. Pantera - Walk

5. From Autumn to Ashes - Placentapede

6. Rage Against the Machine - Killing in the Name of

7. Primus - My Name is Mud

8. Seether - Remedy

9. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under the Bridge

10. Rise Against - Re-Education (Through Labour)

Most of these songs are accompanying me for years now and I seem to never get fed up with listening to them.

However, ask me again in a couple of years... some songs will probably be the same then, some will change. But that's life, right?! ;-)

This is possibly the hardest question ever. But here goes... (please don't judge me) (no I take that back. bring it.)

1. Somewhere Only We Know - Keane (original).

Personal favourite since it came out. Piano & vocal arrangement is amazing. You can feel it in your skin. But deeper.

2. Living On A Prayer - Bon Jovi.

Who can pass up that wicked guitar riff and the solo in the bridge...

3. Like A Virgin - Madonna.

That cheesy 80's synth kicks off, and for 3 and a half minutes, you can pretend you're as sexy as Madonna.

4. Somewhere On A Fullerton - Allister.

Old school (for me at least ; ) Think Good Charlotte meets the sunshine. Pop rock that'll have you dancing on your bed with an air guitar (or a real one, if you're just that cool).

5. Ours - Taylor Swift.

Less heard-of Taylor song, but lyrically amazing. Honest. If a shy cowboy and a bunch of roses had a child, this song would be it.

6. Defying Gravity -Stephen Swarchtz (Idina Menzel).

I don't care how many covers there are. Get up on Idina's spine-tingling vocals (last 30 sec = BEST) before I smite you with a Tony Award trophy.

7. I Miss You - Blink 182 & Iris - Goo Goo Dolls

They don't get their own number because I love them for the same reason. Rocky-boy band meets strings. Listen for B182's double bass.

8. Breakaway & My Life Would Suck Without You- Kelly Clarkson (Breakaway written by Avril Lavigne)

Okay i'm trying to fit all the faves in. And I'm failing.

Breakaway- anthem of every single teenage girl when it came out. And you believe in every word.

And this is a fave- because really, who would ever say "I can't breathe without you" or "Our souls are entwined in a cacophony of love!"?? NO ONE. You say/sing-loudly-into-a-hairbrush, "Hey, my life would suck without you."

9. Picture Frames - Georgia Fair

Look! An Australian band!!! =O This song is very "I'm gonna take a drive in my convertible, and you know what, I don't think i'll wear pants either." Summer road trip music (which is exactly how Big M has used it in their ads.)

10. To Have A Home - Darren Criss.

From A Very Potter Sequel (to the Musical). And I don't think I could make a top 10 list without some kind of mention these guys.

If you're on here by choice, you'll probably hate it. But as a musical theatre enthusiast & an avid potter head, i love it. Just shows what kind of raw, beautiful music you can get from a guy with a heart and a piano.

OKAY I'M DONE. The list ended up being more "A list of the tops songs of the various genres that I love". (Otherwise it may have been a list entirely of Beyonce songs because that's what's on the iPod this week. Hey Beyonce, I forgot about you...)

Oh and @bumface1, I love your list. More than Mimi love a Delta Nu sorority party.

I never said I was good at school, I was moved for disrupting the class constantly (Teachers don't know good humour :)). Although I'm not that bad at English IMO. I can too hold a good converstaion with all walks of life.

You commented by saying "....piece of shit song that simply appeals to the lowest common denominator of society. Closely seconded by Fedde Le Grande's "Put Your Hands Up For Detroit".

At our school social (Where shit DJ's come along and basically mix shitty tracks come) thats basically all they played oh and I Wonna Love You by Akon.

Now lets get or at least try to get back to topic.

Oh I found a new list in order:

01. DJ Tiesto - Power Mix 2005

02. N-Euro - Lover On The Line (The Real Booty Babes Remix)

03. Dreamnation - Daggmask

04. Mr Tommee -

05. Banana Inc - Monkey Island

06. 2 Vibez - Just 4 You (DJ Zex Remix)

07. 2 Playaz - Tune (Radio Edit)

08. Paffendorf - Rhythm and Sex (DJ Zex Edit)

09. DJ Nefi - Music for the People

10. DJ Pantelis - Panama (Extended Mix)
