Well hello there everyone,

I'm really interested to watch how this sub-forum develops given how little market share Pro Tools appears to claim amongst the home studio market, dominated these days by the electronic dance music producer.

The November 2006 issue of Australia's own Audio Technology magazine published a reader survey of their DAW of choice:

40.9% elected Pro Tools as the primary DAW/Editor, making it Number #1 by a large margin.

So, in order, we have:

Shortly after this announcement, a poll was run over on inthemix.com.au and it told a surprisingly (or perhaps not) different story:

• Ableton Live (27 users) 40.91%
  
• Cubase/Nuendo/Other Steinberg (16 users) 24.24%
  
• FL Studio (7 users) 10.61%
  
• Logic (4 users) 6.06%
  
• Reason (4 users) 6.06%
  
• Hardware (3 users) 4.55%
  
• Pro Tools (2 user) 3.03%
  
• Other (specify) (2 users) 3.03%
  
• Sonar/Other Cakewalk (1 user) 1.52%
  
• Buzz/CM Muszys/Freeware stuff (0 user) 0%

Pretty interesting, huh?
