some guy the other day in a parking lot ran up to me and asked if i wanted to buy some speakers, said i was low on money but he told me to look anyway.... he worked for a home theatre installation company and had ordered 3 of these 2300 dollar 5.1 surround sound systems... showed me all the legitimacy and everything... asked for $500 for them... told him i was broke and he said he only had a couple minutes to sell them before he had to give them all to his boss.... kept going lower and lower, even down to 100 bux....
i didnt have it at the time... i missed out on BRAND NEW, still in the box and never opened $2300 surround sound system w/ a 900W subwoofer..... why do this to me GOD????

Anyway, if you've got $60 to spare, i'll show you as much of my legitimacy as you can handle AND i'll even deposit some joy in your ears.

A few cheap no-frills toys, but havin fun with them nonetheless...
Icon Neuron 6 for just over $200:

I've heard stories about dodgy faders etc but mine works fine, just sits at home though. Plugged into the Mac and started using immediately no drivers and had Reason running via remote in no time
Legacy DD501 drum kit:

Really basic but cheap as at less than $500 for everything including pedals, seat headphones and hardware :wtf: . The pads are fine, nice and rubbery (my personal pref) and they can 6.5mm jack out to any other trigger input if desired. The included brain is hard wired in and the kits are a bit GM sounding, but has audio in and USB MIDI in/out. Again plugged straight into the Mac, loaded Ultrabeat in Logic and was playing kits in seconds with stuff-all latency. And the whole thing can fold under one arm and weighs about 20kg. Simple but nice

re: Neuron - ;D @ 'limited edition Mac silver'
re: DD501 - what fantastic value eh, complete with MIDI over USB, which none of the premium brands seem to have worked out how to do. And once it's hooked up to a VST/AU/RTAS, it's flying! Bet you're lovin' it! And the colour scheme screams ddrum!
EDIT: Crap, new page, total break in continuity, sorry 'bout that.

It was the flame pedals that really did it for me

I was thinking about a low-end baritone guitar, but now I'm really considering getting an electric cello. There's a shop in China that makes a bunch of cellos for the ebay market. Given that I've got too many guitars and don't actually know how to play the cello, I'm not splashing out for a nice one from Yamaha...but maybe an electric green cello is in my future!
The Lady Of The House will definitely be giving me dirty looks.

Cubase 5 essentials...
wow what can say coming from CB SE1 that has so many crippling problems Ive been fighting with for so sooooo long now, I can say the $150 2nd hand for this CB5 is totally worth it. Cleaner smoother with 2 big vst's that may even decide to use, cause so far they sound pretty broad in their sonic abilities.

Judging by the surface area on the front dedicated to air intake, it looks like it would crank.

Waiting for us upon house sale settlement...

2009 Forester XT in Newport Blue.
We kinda outgrown the Echo, and after having to let go of my li'l supercharged MR2 earlier in the year, I kinda craved something with a bit of balls without going all mid-life crisis (again). Should get us safely back across the country, me thinks!

The Family WRX. Nice work - should be a very comfy trip back to the east coast.
